Members

This page gives general information for members, while the links above will take you to pages with details of the activities of the four individual sections within the Club.

Generally, members are free to play whenever they wish, although some tee times are reserved for various purposes - several on Mondays for Mens' Medals, as well as for the Monday Ladies; Tuesday mornings for Seniors, and times on Tuesday afternoons for Ladies' Medals; while the Juniors have priority for an hour or so from 5.00 p.m. on Wednesdays. Matches and other events are listed in the calendar, and should also be publicised on a white board outside the Clubhouse entrance. It is not usually necessary to book tee times, but this can be done by contacting the Clubhouse - details are on the left.

At 4.00 p.m. on Saturdays, there is an opportunity to play nine holes informally - this is designed to allow new members to meet others, as well as simply to enjoy a social round of golf. If you are interested in this, just turn up at around 3.45 p.m.

The Clubhouse is open during the working day, and in the mornings there will be an experienced member available to answer any queries and issue tickets etc. Bill McGuigan, the Caterer, is there for much of each day as well. When there is nobody around, the doors giving access to the Gents' and Ladies' locker rooms are secured by combination locks - members are supplied with the combination.

There is a programme of social activities, usually taking place in the Clubhouse. These are advertised on the Clubhouse noticeboards, as well as by e-mail. The News page on this site should also give advance notice of such things.
